Never watched a Godzilla movie before, so I was glad I watched this as the first one. It stuck with the original formula for Godzilla movies apparently, and I didn't mind the cliche plot. It's absolutely fucking awesome when Godzilla does the Atomic Breath; the sound design for it and the spine-chilling visuals of his scales glowing during his charge is so satisfying.
