This was the movie that got me into the entire monsterverse franchise. I can confidently say that I am a Kong stan after watching it. Godzilla is really cool, but he doesn't have as much of a compelling story progression like Kong does. In the progression of this movie, Kong finds an adoptive son, reconnects with his species, and gets a sweet metal-arm upgrade.

It's not a high quality movie (except the CGI, that's great). But just like the Michael Bay Transformer movies, I'm focusing on the big creature action and not the plot.
