I decided to start watching this series after getting into my Kong fixation from the Monsterverse, and I'm super impressed that this movie came out at 2011. Was worried that seeing apes from CGI before 2015 would be a nightmare, but it was surprisingly & convincingly good. Everyone (including my) favorite character was Caesar, and I'm super excited to see how he progresses in the later installments of the franchise.
