Old Man's War (John Scalzi)

This story brings an interesting sci-fi concept: What if old citizens can get new bodies that have super human capabilities? The only trade-off is that you need to sign a contract to join Earth's army to defend humanity against multiple alien races, and there's a huge chance you'll die at 20 in your new body. Very interesting concept!
I found this book when I asked for a similar author like Jim Butcher in a bookstore. I would say that the sarcasm is similarly enjoyable, and the sci-fi genre is a refreshing change. Overall, the plot is never boring, and the main protagonist is chill. Wish they gave him more traits to stand out though.
